[And then she handed Gwendolen one of the silver dessert forks. It had a jewel and a family mark set in it, shaped like a cresent moon.]

[And then she stood up, and gave Gwndolen a little bow.]

[And then she was gone, and the garden they both were sitting in started to fade away in into the silver mist...]

[...And Gwendolen Chant woke up, and shook her head.]

[Gwendolen shook her head and stood up. She had to get back to her room right now, before anybody saw her outside like this!]
