Hey, you know, I have an idea - Why don't we do a shorter and simpler version of the play based on our adventures? With extra songs added? I'm sure they'll love that!
[And in the meanwhile, in the outside world]
[Rin was staring at the TV. So was Len.]

Hey, look, that looks like a library - Let's try to find a dictonary or something, OK?
[And several minutes later, they both were staring at the books, flummoxed.]

"hm." [Allen thinks about that] "Sure. Very well, we shall do that. Fine, let us start planning then." [ still letting off arguments along the way, the two discuss the plans while eating their snacks and heading around to pick up their costumes for the show. At the shop, the seamstress sighed as she watched the twins and was aking rin's dress more princessy] "Ah, those lovely young children, poor things. First time in a while I have seem them argue like that, but it is good to see them lively again. ever since th incident, they have had to make it on their own." "And it has affected their personalities, like a hollow, grrim version of their former selves. " [her companion said] They go though life chipper and smile, but it seems empty. It's almost a little spooky. And there are rumors they poked their noses into dark arts..."
"A world without barriers, of course!" [Rin sighed and flopped down onto the couch, kicking her dainty legs] "Ah, but can you believe it brother? We made it out of that world, past a barrier, and into a new big world with so many fun things! I never want to go back!" "Me neither!" [he jumped dwon beside her laughing] "So, I have an idea for somehting we coulld do for the show." "Yes?" "Remember that sad fairy tale our mother used to tell us, about the little princess and her twin brther that served her?" "Yes, I do! Yes, that would make a lovely performance. I even remmeber the tune she snag it to!" "Me too!"
[Both pairs of twins were on the stage, for the big day had come.]
[In the picture world.]
Here we go!
[Allen said, and starts to sing, as the villagers clap!]
...There's going to sing some new songs, they say!
[A granny smiled.]
It's been so long since anybody made anything new...Why, the last time was when Rin and Len's poor parents...
[And then she blinked, and shut her mouth. It probably wasn't a really good idea to talk about them - Especially on a day like this.]

[Miku grinned and clapped along with Rin and Len's singing, alongside a very large amount of people singing along with them.]
...Oooohh, this is wonderful! They look so happy...
[And that is when she realized that Yuusuke was standing to one side, looking up at the stage with emotionless eyes.]

[She goes up to him, and whispers. Yuusuke looks at her, and blinks.]

[He then looks at her, his smile becoming oddly sad under the playfulness.]
...It's just that it's a shame that they'll have to go back into the picture again, when there's enjoying themselves so much...But it can't be helped, you see.

[And Yuusuke sighs, and explained about the picture twins, and why they'd taken over Caroline and Allen's bodies, sending the twins back to their picture world in their place.]

...Well, their picture world is very small, it seems - And they were bored, and wanted a bigger audience...
[Miku blinked, thinking about this. Yuusuke almost laughed as he heard her cogs turning, literally.]

[And about 30 minutes later, Miku got up on stage and waved to the audience!]

[And audience looked at each other - And a young man stood up, and waved his miku bandanna to get her attention.]

[and menahwile] "Really? What would you like us to draw?" "We are going to draw big pretty villaiges and mountains and nature! Maybe even some adventures to be had!" [the crowd murmured] "Ok Miku! sounds fun!"
[And in the meanwhile, Miku had put the picture twins chigiri-e picture into a plastic cover of some kind, so it wouldn't get damanged, and had now stuck it in the middle of a very large piece of drawing paper.]
...Oh, right - It might be better to draw some big cities in it, too, so they'd have plenty of places to visit and a large choice of audiences...
[She says, and the young man blinks.]

- Oh, it's nothing!
[And in the meanwhile, the concert is still going on, and the picture twins, still in Len and Rin's bodies, have returned from their break.]
[Rin looks around - What was that Miku girl doing now, with all those people clustered around her? Oh, well, it couldn't be more important then their concert, she was pretty sure...]
[And so she grinned and Len, and began to sing again while the crowd cheered wildly.]

[One of the fans smile, tears in his eyes.]
It's almost like they're real vocaloids, not cosplayers at all! I feel like I'm seeing vocaloid fandom history in the making, somehow...
[And inside the picture world...]
[Caroline blinked, nearly faltering in midsong.]
[Something...Something was changing, in the village.]
[The high walls which had surrounded it now seemed to be slowly but surely changing shape.]
[Was that a door? And a long, long road snaking out into the distance?]
[Allen looked at her, wondering why she looked so distracted - And that is when he saw the door...]
[Which was slowly opening from the other side.]
[Allen gaped, too, and stopped singing entirely as he saw who was coming through the door. So did Caroline.]
[The villagers turned around and craned their necks, wondering what they were staring at.]
[And then, Caroline stood up on the stage, the show forgotten entirely.]

[The village headwoman turned, her mouth dropping open.]
[the crowd murmured excitedly] "Could it really be them?" "Yes, it must be!" "but no one has ever returned form the void!" "But look at was happenned to the walls!" "Is it magic? a miracle?" [Caroline looked further, then sat down, rather disapointed] "That's right. They are not relaly our parents. They are the parents of the verisons of ourselves here..." "Yes, but they are still our parents in a way." [allen replies] "And while we are here, we are the rin and len of this world. Besides, if they were misisng and apparently dead, then this is a great thing. And it looks like somehting changed in this world?"
[Yuusuke smiled, enigmatically, and pushed himself away from the tree he was leaning on.]
[It was time.]
[He waved his hands, and the picture twins blinked - All of a sudden, they could see their village again.]
[And then, Len gasped!]
...Papa! Mom!
[Rin stared at the scene, flaggergasted.]

- Oh, it's quite real, I assure you.
[Yuusuke said.]
And now, it's time for both of you to go home. You've had your fun, all right?
[He then looked toward Miku and the fans, still busy drawing, and grinned.]
It might be a good idea to say thank you to Miku-chan and those rest of those people first, though - Your little world is currently much bigger then it used to be, thanks to what they did.
[The Picture World]
[Caroline and Allen gasps as the scene in front of them blurred, and Yuusuke appeared, all of a sudden.]
...It's time to get you two back in your proper bodies, now - Hold on tight!
[However, the Rin from the picture clenches her gloved hands, suddenly looking very irritated] "No. I do not wnat to go back! I like it here! And you can not make me go back! Especially by someone like you, which I do not believe in any of which you just showed us! Our fun is not over! It has just begun!!" [Yuusuke glanced over his shoulder at her in the other part, loooking fairly bemused] "Oh. I suppose I should have expected that you would be stubborn about it." "Oh now just who are you talking to!" [The rin who was really the princess interejected] "So are we going back or not!" "Yes yes, you are, just a moment please." "What is going on!!" [she tried to press forwards, but Allen held her back] "Hold on, it might be dangerous in that spot." "I do not care!"
OK, then - It's time to let the parental units deal with them, I suppose...
[And he turns toward the picture twins parents, and pulls them behind a tree.]
It's a bit hard to explain, Sir and Ma'am, but those children -
[And he points toward Rin and Len, now inhabited by Caroline and Allen]
- aren't exactly your children at the moment, I'm afraid. They're actually alternate versions of your children from other worlds...
And your children used a bodyswitch spell to take over their bodies, and put them in theirs.
[Eliza and Albert stared at him, looking poleaxed.]
...What??? But why - Why would they ever do such a thing!?
[Albert spluttered.]
...They probably were bored to death of this little world, with only a village in it and nothing else...
[Eliza sighed, then.]
- Just like we were, Albert - Remember?
[And she patted him on his shoulder.]
[Albert looked around them at the door in the walls and the road outside, heading off into the hills.]

You are going to let me go back to my world even if I have to make you with my magic!" "Pft! with your magic? You have nothing!" [the other rin leered, a power suddnely flaring up around her] "Have you even been studying or practicing? Len and I have! and we have gotten good! How else do you think we brought you in!" [The princess shrieks, her power growing up bigger] "How dare you! That's it! I challenge you to a contest of our magic power!!"
OK, then - We might as well do this right, I suppose!
[And then, something rather odd happened - They now found themselves at what looked like the stage for the festival in the picture world, but some of the Vocaloid fans from Yuusuke's world had somehow managed to arrive there, as well.]

[One of the young men wearing a Miku t-shirt looked around then, his eyes wide.]
What's this?
[The picture world people, on the other hand, where looking rather amused - ]
Ohhh! So many new and interesting things are happening, today...
[And then, Miku nodded and took the stage.]
Welcome to our special Vocaloid event, Ladies and Gentlemen!
[She said, and waves to the cheering fans.]
And our first event is - A duel of Rin-chans!
[Picture!Rin and Caroline both get up on the stage, and glare at each other.]
- Hand us back our bodies, you thieving look-alikes!
[Caroline says, but Picture!Rin sticks out her tongue back at her.]
Make us, you noobs!
[The Picture!Twins parents sigh and facepalm - Did she have to?]
[And then, they both raise their hands, and the magical duel begins in earnest!]
[A horde of Mini-Rins and Mini-Carolines start to run around the stage, fighting each other and generally causing havoc.]
...So so so cuuute!
[The female Watanuki looks like she's almost ready to swoon, her eyes going heartshaped.]
[Yuusuke looked at her, chuckling, and then pushed his glasses up.]
[The Mini Rins and the Mini Carolines fought each other cutely and ferociously, but neither side seemed to be able to win!]
[Soon enough, they all collapsed in a heap, panting, while Caroline and Picture!Rin both looked pretty winded, too.]
...Okay, then... I declare the duel of magic to be over!
[The announcer grinned.]
Who thinks the Rin-chan with the shorter hair wins this round? If you do, please raise your hand!
[Picture Rin got up and waved to the audience, while Caroline groaned.]
Why does that imposter get put to the vote first, anyway!
[But then, she blinked and grinned - Most of the audience were whispering with each other, and only about 4 people were raising their hands, including Albert and Lily.]
...Ha ha ha! So I win, right?
[But the announcer shook his head.]
Not so fast, young lady!
[And then he turned back toward the audience.]
...OK, then - Who thinks the Rin-chan with longer hair wins this round?
[Caroline got up and waved at the audience, smiling wickedly - But then, she blinked. Only four people were raising their hands for her, either, though they weren't the same people who'd raised their hands for Picture!Rin. Allen was one of them, of course, as was right and proper, but...]
...But...But...
[She groaned. What in the world was happening, here?]
[And then, the annoucer grinned -]
Alright, then - Who thinks that it's a draw?
[Aand the audience cheered, and got to their feet, waving their hands and batons!]
We just can't choose, they're both too good!
- We love you both, Rin-chans!
[Picture!Rin and Caroline both stared at each other, and facepalmed at exactly the same moment.]

Oh, come on, Rinny - I'll have almost nothing to do if it's just a duel of magic!
[Allen groaned. So did his alternate.]
Yeah, that doesn't sound like fun at all, frankly - Sorry, Rin.
[And then he clapped his hands.]
Hey! Why don't we duel three times?
Once with magic, once with dance and song, and we can decide what the third one is later.
[Allen looked at Caroline, thinking about that.]
That's OK with me, but - Hey, Rinny? I can do the song and dance part just by myself, if you want...
[Caroline seethed, silently.]
...What?? I can't let you do that all by yourself - What if you lost the game or something?
[And then she thought about things some more.]
- And anyway, the audience always liked me better!
[Allen stuck his tongue out at her, then.]
Neener neener neener, how would you know - We've only been on stage without each other only about 5 times or something!
[Caroline stared at him, and then stuck her tongue out right back at him.]

OK, then - We might as well do this right, I suppose!
[And then, something rather odd happened - They now found themselves at what looked like the stage for the festival in the picture world, but some of the Vocaloid fans from Yuusuke's world had somehow managed to arrive there, as well.]

[One of the young men wearing a Miku t-shirt looked around then, his eyes wide.]
What's this?
[The picture world people, on the other hand, where looking rather amused - ]
Ohhh! So many new and interesting things are happening, today...
[And then, Miku nodded and took the stage.]
Welcome to our special Vocaloid event, Ladies and Gentlemen!
[She said, and waves to the cheering fans.]
And our first event is - A duel of Rin-chans!
[Picture!Rin and Caroline both get up on the stage, and glare at each other.]
- Hand us back our bodies, you thieving look-alikes!
[Caroline says, but Picture!Rin sticks out her tongue back at her.]
Make us, you noobs!
[The Picture!Twins parents sigh and facepalm - Did she have to?]
[And then, they both raise their hands, and the magical duel begins in earnest!]
[A horde of Mini-Rins and Mini-Carolines start to run around the stage, fighting each other and generally causing havoc.]
...So so so cuuute!
[The female Watanuki looks like she's almost ready to swoon, her eyes going heartshaped.]
[Yuusuke looked at her, chuckling, and then pushed his glasses up.]

[Soon enough, they all collapsed in a heap, panting, while Caroline and Picture!Rin both looked pretty winded, too.]
...Okay, then... I declare the duel of magic to be over!
[The announcer grinned.]
Who thinks the Rin-chan with the shorter hair wins this round? If you do, please raise your hand!
[Picture Rin got up and waved to the audience, while Caroline groaned.]
Why does that imposter get put to the vote first, anyway!
[But then, she blinked and grinned - Most of the audience were whispering with each other, and only about 4 people were raising their hands, including Albert and Lily.]
...Ha ha ha! So I win, right?
[But the announcer shook his head.]
Not so fast, young lady!
[And then he turned back toward the audience.]
...OK, then - Who thinks the Rin-chan with longer hair wins this round?
[Caroline got up and waved at the audience, smiling wickedly - But then, she blinked. Only four people were raising their hands for her, either, though they weren't the same people who'd raised their hands for Picture!Rin. Allen was one of them, of course, as was right and proper, but...]
...But...But...
[She groaned. What in the world was happening, here?]
[And then, the annoucer grinned -]
Alright, then - Who thinks that it's a draw?
[Aand the audience cheered, and got to their feet, waving their hands and batons!]
We just can't choose, they're both too good!
- We love you both, Rin-chans!
[Picture!Rin and Caroline both stared at each other, and facepalmed at exactly the same moment.]
