"great job Miku! I'll finish them off!" [Marisa twirled her magical girl wands and shot out a stream of colorful stars, finishing off the familiars, which enploded in a cloud of smoke and the literal words 'poof!']
"Get back here!" [Miyu shot more globs of paint at the witch and drawing up her own painted images to send out to attack.now that the familiars were going, Miku and Marisa jumped in and joined the battle against the witch]
"Ok! I think we're wearing her down!"

...OK, then - It's my turn to kick some posterier!
[And then, she spun around, her magic twirling around her - And Miku's jaw dropped as a bright and colorful cartoonish tank appeared in the air! Maria quickly crawled into the magical tank, and grinned bloodthirstily.]
- Final attack grand alpha!
[She said with a grin - And the Witch blew up with a boom, with magical flowers and candies and glitter flying everywhere!]
[Miyu, in the meanwhile, had gotten out of the way of Maria's attack at the very last moment, and was now coughing up a storm, covered with the magical glitter and whatnot.]
...Maria - I've told you and told you to warn me when when you fire any of your final attacks, geez! Are you trying to blow me up with the Witch on purpose?
[Miku grinned, then, as the Witch Barrier started to melt around them.]
...We won!
[And that was when she paused. Most of the Familiars that hadn't been blown up yet were melting away with the Witch Barrier...]
[But at least 3 of them weren't melting away at all. Wait, wait, wait - What in the world was happening!?]

...Oh, you're going to that school were all the Idol Singers and actors and actresses go now, right? How's it like?
[Miku laughed aloud at that.]
- Oh, yeah, there're so many famous people there, it was sort of scary when I first tranferred, but now - I barely have enough time to go to school and avoid flunking!
[And several weeks after that, she'd asked Miyu to draw some illustrations for one of Miku's official fanbooks, and Miyu had been happy to comply. But then...]

obne day, Miku was finishing up shooting a music video when she recieved a call from Miyu]
"hey Miku chan,,," [Miyu's voice sounded worried]
"Hi Miyu chan! What's wrong?"
"Hace you seen or heard of Marisa chan lately?"
"No, I haven't. why?"
"Well I haven't either, for a while. And I'm really worried about her Her parents don't know either."
"Oh no..."
"I heard she's been having issues with bullying recently...." Miyu sighed

[Miku said, and tried to call Maria, but only got a mechanical voice from her phone's answering service.]
- Hey, Maria-chan, I'm sure you can figure out who this is, but - Please call us soon, OK? We're really worried about you!
[She said, and then cut off, sighing. Miku and Miyu talked for a couple of minutes more, but then Miku had to go, as she had to go do her homework, and she had about two weeks worth of it piled up. Her school was pretty flexible about those things, true, but there was a limit, and she did have to take the tests and do her homework, or else.]
[And so, Miku went home, and did her homework for four hours straight - And that was when there was a knock on her window.]
...Maria-chan???
[Miku almost squeaked as she saw who it was. Maria was floating outside her window in her Magical Girl outfit - ]
[- And to put it quite frankly, the girl looked awful. Maria had dark circles under her eyes, and her whole face was twitching, like she was seeing scary things under every bush...]

"What are you doing here? " she wet over and opened the window up for her "here, come on in. you must be cold."
[Maria nodded and drifted in listlessly. Miku sat her down on her bed and draped a blanket over her] "What happened to you? We were so worried! And you look quite ill"
"I...I..." [there was a chittering noise as what looked like crayon drawings of colorful little girls projected into life floated in through the window and headed to Marisa. Marisa moaned and flinched back] "Go away, you! I don't need you anymore! I told you that I'm too old for you now!"
"Maria-chan?" [Ah right, Miku remembered MAria telling her about her wish that her imaginary friends came to life. She didn't see them often though.]
"Leave me alone!"] Maria covered her face] "I'm not a baby! Im not Im not!"

[Miku said, and gave her a hug.]
- People play with their imaginary friends all the time even if they're grownups! It's just that once you're grown up a little, it's usually called "writing stories" or "drawing manga" or stuff like that.
[And then, she gave her a hug again, and looked around for her canteen.]
...Here - You should drink some hot milk tea, OK? That should make you feel better in a jiffy!

- I feel so tired, these days - It's like I've turned into a raggedy doll for little kids or something! You know those little towel dolls kids for kids, right? It's like I'm all used up now, after the kids and the dog and who knows what all chewed on me and wiped things with me and whatnot...
[Miku nodded, and patted her hair gently.]
...I feel like that a lot nowadays, too - I'm so busy, all the time!
[And then, she sighed a bit.]
- And...Miyu-san's been worrying about you, too, you know. Maybe you should try calling her?
[Marisa groaned at that.]
...I...I dunno...Miyu's getting so weird, these days!

...I think you should use this, Maria-chan. Your Soul Gem isn't looking too good, either.
[Maria nodded gratefully, and put it next to her own Soul Gem with a click.]
- Yeah, I do feel better now - Thanks, Miku-san. Miyu used to be so nice, and we used to share our Grief Seeds all the time, but now... She's getting so weird!
[And then, she leaned over and whispered - ]
...She - She said I stole her ideas, and sucked them away like a vampire or something. I mean, how does one even do that!? And then she made fun of my dolls, and said they were the stupidest things ever, and that they should have been hers, anyway, because she would have been able to make much better versions, and - and -

[Miku sighed] I'll try and talk to her, figure out what's going on. But it's getting late now." [She patted Maria's fluffy hair] "you should probably head home now. Your parents are worried about you."
