[Yuuko turned at looked at the young man, then. She'd seen this one before when she'd riffled thought Gwendolen's possibilities, though they'd never met in person, she didn't think.]

...Why, hello!

[She said with a mischevious smile. His name was Garrin, she was pretty sure...]

"hm?"[he loooked up and nodded in greeting] "Hello Madam. Ah, forgive me for asking, but have you seen a girl who looks like me anywhere around here?"

I have, actually, but I think you should think about it a bit before you try to talk to her - She seems to have forgotten a lot of things and people she used to know, you see...

[Yuuko said, and then took her Infinity Phone out, and whispered to Garrin...]

Do you mind if I try and send her a text message, telling her you're here? That might jog her memory, perhaps...

[The boy shook his head] "I don't think she'd know me, unless she has the same dreams about me that I do about her. We've been separated since we were babies." [he wans't sure why he was telling a stranger about all this, but somehow he felt he could trust this woman]

[Yuuko tilted her head at this, thinking. So was this actually the Garrin she'd thought Gwendolen had probably met for real, just with his memories being blocked for now, or a different version entirely?]

[Oh, well - It was good he was here either way, she decided, and then looked at Marisa, Alice, Patchouli, and the fox boy with a smile.]

...Please wait a bit more, everybody - There's something I have to do here, I'm afraid!

[And then, she texted Gwendolen with a grin!]

[Garrin waited patiently.
Marisa stared] "ok, a little creepy"
"I wonder if they must be twins" Alice shrugged "Twins do have a special connection after all

[Yuuko looked at Garrin, then, and riffled through the possibilities again.]

...Do you mind if I send her a picture of you, Garrin-kun?

[She asked, softly.]

- It might be somewhat risky if the wrong people catch sight of it, but it might get her interesting in meeting you, I think...

[Garrin blinked and shurgged] "Sure, go ahead. I don't mind." [He wondered what she meant by the wrong people

Well, there're some dangerous people around here tonight, you see -

[Yuuko said with a winsome grin, and then took a photo of him with her Phone.]

- Since this is supposed to be a convention of witches, and we witches tend to be a dangerous lot, all things considered, after all!

[And then, she sent his photo to, along with some more text messages.]

...Done! Say, Garrin-kun - What do you think of eating some dinner with us while you wait? It'll be fun, I'm pretty sure...

"Well, true" [though most of the witches here seemed much more respactable looking than that shady lot Gwendolen was with back in their home world] "Ah, sure. I would not mind. That you for inviting me, miss Ichihara"

OK, then, let's go!

[Yuuko said, and then, they all went to the Kitsune family's udon shop. Yuuko looked at the possibilities for a few seconds, and then fiddled with her Phone, sending some more messages. Yuuko then looked at the menu, wondering what Gwendolen would decide to do, and whether she would make it if she did try to come. Maybe the girl with the hat would come with her, if she did decide to come here...]

...Why don't you try our special curry udon set, sir? It comes with some pickles and a salad!

[The little fox boy said to Garrin with a smile.]

[Garrin gave a bit of a start at that. He was still not used to the animal people in this world]
"Er, yes. Thank you, I would love to try it.] [he smiled politely. For those who knew Gwendolen, it seemed her twin was much nicer than she was]

[Yuuko nodded at Garrin, thinking. What a nice boy - Was this one one of the ones who'd grown up in different world from Gwendolen?]

- So how come you didn't grow up with your twin sister, hmmm?

[She asked with a grin.]

[And in the meanwhile, the kitsune boy was asking the three other witches for their orders.]

[Garrin sighed and leaned his chin onto his hands on the table, looking thoughtful]
"Well we were seaparated since we were babies. I don't know how yet. I just know my parents, at least my adopteive parents as it turns out, found me abadoned in a feld as a baby. But I've always had dreams about my sister. like some kind of mind connection. And the other day I found a photograph of her and our brth arents. It was quite a shock, but I just knew...

[Yuuko nodded at that.]

A photograph, huh?

[And then, their udon sets arrived!]

[Yuuko thanked the kitsune boy, but then paused as another set of possibilities passed through her mind.]

...It might be best to eat while we can, Garrin-kun...

[She commented, and then looked at Marisa and her friends.]

And you too, Marisa-chan, Alice-san, Patchouli-san.

Itadakimasu!

[And soon enough, a pair of witches came in through the door!]

...Why noodles? I don't remember giving permission for a noodle shop -

[One of the witches complained - And then, her mouth dropped open as she caught sight of Garrin!]

...What??? Oh, no - What is the Sacrifice doing here!?!?

[She hissed under her breath.]

[The other witch gaped as well] "And why is she suddenly dressed like a boy? "
"I don't know... " [the first witch checked a magic scan] "Wait a sec, this says she's actually still by the fountains. Which means that girl, or boy, isn't her."
"But I thought we made sure there were no other versions of her around?"
"We did. So this is odd. We'll have to investigate this"

[Yuuko huffed at that, and then turned toward Garrin.]

...The Sacrifice? Oh, my, if that doesn't sound omnious...

[Aand that was when a version of Kagamine Rin and Len passed right outside the Udon shop's door, dressed as an halloween witch and warlock!]

[Yuuko grinned as she saw the witches eyes widen.]

- But - But but but, we made sure that no other version of Gwendolen Chant would be able to enter the grounds! The Lady even used a lock of hair she'd gotten when she'd first became her teacher -

[One of them gabbled. Yuuko snickered, then - Gwendolens, Gwendolens, so many Gwendolens. It really was confusing, no?]

"There must be some sort of explanation! Come on, lets go get them!"
"But, what about the Gwendolen boy right there? What do we about about her, him"

[Garrin has not noticed the other witches muttering about Gwendolen as he was too busy chatting it up with the three witches from Gensokyou]

[Aand that was when a beautiful woman in a black cloak arrived on the scene!]

[The other witches looked at each other, and immediately came to attention.]

...Lady Lucia! We, we -

- Silence, you fools. This had better not have been a false alarm - I have better things to do with my time then catar to your idiocies, after all!

[The woman said briskly, and then gestured at the udon shop.]

...So this is the place?

[Garrin's mouth dropped open as he saw a woman peer into the udon shop. She was so beautiful! But then, he sighed a bit as he realized that though this woman was beautiful, she also had a mean and calculating look in her eyes.]

[And then, the woman's looked at Garrin, and her mouth dropped open, too]

...Eric Chant!? No, that can't be, there's no way he could be here -

[The woman muttered under her breath.]

[Garrin stirred uncomfotably. This woman was familiar, he may have seen her though some of Gwendolen's memories he sometimes saw. And he had a bit of a bad feeling about her.
Marisa looked up and waved] "hey lady lucia!" [she knew she was an old friend of her mother's]

[Lucia stared at Marisa for a moment, and then she coughed.]

...Oh! Miss Marisa, is that you?

[And then, she pasted a fake smile on her face. Lucia didn't get Merida, to be honest - How could such a powerful witch be so lovey-dovey with a mere mortal, or muggle, or whatever the magicless were called here, anyway?]

[And then way she went on and on about how she loved her dear daughter was - Ugh. Lucia hoped she'd be dead before she got that mushy-brained. She'd used to make fun of people who believed in "love", but not anymore - The truth of the matter was, "love" was this horrible, currupting, vile thing that ate people's sanity, and that was it.]

[Thank goodness she'd been able to avoid "love"'s curse, so far, Lucia thought, and then wondered why Gwendolen Chant's face had popped into her head. But never mind that for now.]

- It's so good to see you! Is your mother here, too?

[She hoped she wasn't, to be honest, buuut.]

[Marisa shrugged, tilting her hat back up] "Nah, she's out doin her own Halloween stuff. too bad" [Actually, Meridia had seemed fairly upset at the invitation one she found out who it was from. Did something happen between them?
Meridia had warned her daughter not to attend the ball and they had argued for a bit, but the older witch finally let up, knowing that Marisa had a right to experience witch gatherings. ] "So, you're the one hostin this shindig? Sweet!"

[Lucia sweatdropped at that. Shindig? Sweet? Ewwww! The girl sounded like - like one of those pampered magicless school students or something!

[And then, she took a deep breath, and schooled her expressions.]

- Oh, that's too bad, but I'm glad you're here, of course, Miss Merida!

[She lied baldly, and then looked at the other people there, especially the male Gwendolen lookalike. Her eyes, however, slid right over Yuuko, who was daintly eating one of the chicken dumplings that came with the curry udon set.]

...Say, I have an idea - Why don't you and your friends all come with me to the dais, so you can see the ceremony properly?

[And then, she smiled at the young blond man.]

- And as for you, young man - Hmmm. Have you ever heard of somebody called Gwendolen Chant, by any chance? She looks a lot like you do, you see...

(Garron brightened up at that and nodded urgently) " yes, she is my sister. I have been searching for her! Do you know where she is here? Ease tell me!

[Lucia blinked for a moment at that, and then she smiled.]

...Why, of course!

[And then, she gave Garrina a languad smile.]

- Say, why don't you and your friends come over with me, to where the ceremony is taking place? Gwendolen is supposed to be there shortly, you see...

[And once she had the male Gwendolen lookalike, Merida's daughter, and all the people she assumed were their hanger-ons in one place, it would be much easier to keep an eye on them, she was pretty sure.]

[The only problem was if she could actually keep them under control, once they figured out what the ceremony was about, but she was pretty sure she had enough manpower to do that. Of course, it would be best if they didn't try to interfere at all, but...]
