Giving it a spin, John opened the spellbook, whose pages glowed and levitated above the physical object akin to the hardlight terminals of both Forerunner and Covenant technology. The mention of spacetime bubbles, as strange as it sounded, was familiar to him.
"Like slipspace ruptures." He was at least somewhat familiar with the concept. He turned another page to inspect another possible spell. One for personal force-fields akin to the MJOLNIR suit of armor, or what Ms. Ichinose used as Saint Lyre upon preparation. On the other, many pages back, was a simple light spell, one of the first that were usually learned, and that Joan used from time to time.
Looking up, and replicating the spell on thin air with the help of the book's instructions, John created a sphere of light on his fingertips.
He turned to James, "I think I can learn." The orb vanished, as he walked beside James, holding the treasured book by his side.
And for a moment, looking around to ensure they were not being followed.

[Chikage immediately handed James a little transparent bag with a piece of christmas stollen inside, and then turned toward John with a big smile.]
...Hello, sir - Wow, you're big! There're so many people who are taller then me here, it's funny, really -
[Aand then, he handed John a bag with a piece of stollen inside it, too.]
- But anyway, any friend of James-san probably is worth becoming friends with, I think, so Happy Holidays to you too, sir!
[James sighed a bit, then.]
...Um, John? This is Kobayakawa Chikage, and he works at the Antique Bakery, as you can probably tell from his apron...
[And indeed, Chikage's apron proudly displays the shop's name and logo, sparkling with Christmas cheer.]

Most Christmas decorations became a habit to see around the multiverse as time passed, especially around Infinity. He quite often tended to be the tallest around the friends he made outside of his universe -- rarely with the enemies he made (and ended).
"You must be busy around these times," John stated, as there were always times some were busy DUE to the holidays.
At least, hungry heroes guaranteed few people following him to dare continuing looking. He held his gift for James in his trenh pocket.

There was a very large food stall right in front of them, with a large selection of teas and soft drinks lining the shelves.]
[There was a big sign up on top of the teas - "An all you can drink tea and soft drinks buffet! We have the best teas and juices in this area of Infinity, just for 500 Points an hour!"]
[Hmmm...James grinned, and pointed at one of the tables and chairs dotting the park.]
...Hey, John, Chikage - What do you think of just eating the stollen right now?
[James doesn't mind following Infinity's "suggestions" if they seem like fun for everybody involved, no he does not.]
- I'll be happy to go blend and brew some teas for you people, if you want!

[Ami coughed on some dust at that, and sweatdropped up a storm, looking up at both Kotomi and Ayaana.]
...I will be, as soon as the two of you get off me, I think?
[Well, she is a Sailor Senshi, and it's not like she can't handle something like two people almost using her as a cushion, but still.]

Date: 2017-01-03 05:44 am (UTC)She blinks. Her ears perk up, and looks down, noticing Ami's tail waving right beneath Kotomi. At least obeying that, she dives back into the box, and grabs Ami by her collar, biting her shirt to lift her up like a kitten.
"Ami-chan!" With her mouth already full, Kotomi leaves Ami outside of the box, from which Kotomi jumps out of! Suddenly sporting not only canine ears but... a fluffy, wagging tail. "Come play with me and Ayaana-kun."
And, well, she's not noticing her own changes, either...

[Aand that was when a troop of the Shopping Mall's Guard-Robots arrived on the scene!]

"Let's go to the district. I would like to spend time with you and Ami-chan."
And for this, Kotomi runs to Ami, and lifts her up and shows her to Ayaana as if presenting him with a toy she would like to play with, following him around and eager to spend Christmas with him.

Do you like frisbees, pools, and sticks to throw, Honored Costumers? And treats, and hairbrushes?
...Yes, of course we do!
[Ayaana said happily - And then, he put a hand over his mouth.]
[Wait, what?]
In that case, on to the Sunny Dogs Holiday Resort Park we shall go!
[The robots chorused in unison, and some of them immediately went and picked up the gift boxes Ami, Ayaana and Kotomi had been in just a few minutes ago.]
Come here, come here, follow us, follow us! Onto the Sunny Dogs Holiday Resort Park we shall go~
[About 10 minutes later, Ami, Ayaana and Kotomi all found themselves in a sunny park filled with happy looking dogs and Dog People.]

[The robots said, putting their gift boxes next to a tree, and bowing to all of them. And then, they were gone, singing the Rintintin Shopping Mall's theme song as they left.]
[Ami sighed a bit, and then looked up. There was a big beautiful building in the middle of the park, with a sign saying "The Sunny Dogs Holiday Resort Spa and Hotel is this way!" on the side of the road, now that she could actually get her bearings.]
[...Hmmm...Ami smiled. Maybe this day was going to turn out OK after all...]

"Do you want to join us at the massage parlor or at the baths, Ayaana-kun?" Kotomi's tail wagged, "please don't feel shy. I like so much being around you two."
At least having gained -some- social experience, she also proposed:
"There is also a lot of food we can have inside, if you two want."

[Aand that was when Ayaana actually realized what Kotomi had said before she mentioned the food. Ayaana's tail almost stood up in shock, then, as he went red beneath his fur!]
...But...the baths, Miss Kotomi!? Uh, um...I...I really don't think...
[Ami snickered, then.]
...I'm pretty sure the male baths and the female baths are separate, Kotomi-chan, Ayaana-san. And the massage rooms are set up so there's only one massage bed per cubicle, I bet.
[And then, she checked up some things with her Infinity Phone.]
- Oh, look - Both the warm water pools and the cold water pools, on the other hand, do seem to be open to people and beings of all genders, though you apparently have to wear a bathing suit. And yes, they have rental bathing suits too, it seems!
[Ami smiled again, and then the three of them made some reservations at the Sunny Dogs Holiday Resort Spa via their Infinity Phones. The reciptionists at the Spa said that they would have to wait for an hour for the massages, hair-and-fur cuts and nail polishing, but that the warm baths, various pools and exercise rooms were not crowded at all for the moment.]
[Ami nodded as she put away her Phone.]
...Well OK, so we have an hour or so before our reservations, so -
[And then, she paused, looking at the gift boxes Infinity had stuck them into. Hmmm, nope, there was nothing else inside them, it seemed, but on the other hand, there was something about the boxes themselves...]
[Aand then, there was a magical boom, and the three boxes turned into a stick, a frisbee, and a ball!]
[Ho, ho, ho!]
[Ami grinned, and held up the stick, frisbee and ball.]
...Kotomi-chan, Ayaana-san - I think we should find someplace safe to throw these things, and go and have some fun!

Then, tugging both Ayaana and Ami, Kotomi directed them towards a dressing room, with examples for bathing suits for them to wear, Kotomi eyeing a two-piece in particular with a purple galactic motif, gleaming bright with reflections.
She leaned her head against Ayaana's chest, frisbee still in her mouth and tail wagging happily in company of her boyfriend, "do you want me and Ami-chan to wear something like it? What are you thinking of wearing?"

Pleaeese wait a moment? I've got to check something out...
[Aand a few minutes later - Ami was all smiles as the Resort AIs told her that indeed, there was a couple of outdoor pools inside the Resort where throwing balls, sticks and frisbees were allowed!]
- OK, then, let's go! I think we should pick out our bathsuits, and then take a bath first. We can meet up at Pool No.7 after that, and play with the frisbees and balls and sticks while we swim! Is that OK with you people?
[Ami then picked out a cute blue and white swimsuit with a frilly skirt. She looked at the holo of herself in the swimsuit, snickering. Ha ha ha - She wouldn't have been caught dead in a swimsuit like this when she was younger, she thought with a fond smile. But then, she'd met Usagi-chan and the rest of her Senshi friends, and her priorities had started to change, little by little.]
[Ayaana, in the meanwhile, had decided to rent a black pair of swimming trunks. The swimwear was comfortable looking, a was made for people with tails. He looked at his own swimsuit holo, smiling.]
...Miss Kotomi. Have you decided which swimsuit to rent?

So much had changed. Kotomi herself has little shame nowadays. She eyed Ayaana's selected outfit. She got a blushing smile at the sight of him without a shirt.
"Come on, you two." Kotomi wrapped her arm around Ayaana's waist, before pulling him towards the baths, "after we're bathed, we can go to play together. We'll need to be clean beforehand..."
And here, she felt pampered, as she led her friends to the baths. In the room before they split, Kotomi eyed Ayaana again with a smile. Then, Kotomi undressed, wore a towel, and held Ami's hand as they went to the baths...

[Ami said with a grin - And that was when she heard a familiar voice, though it sounded like it was coming from the bathing area for some reason.]
...Oh, no - This isn't my bathing bag! Too bad, I loved that sandalwood soap.
[And then, Ayaana almost choked.]
- No, wait - Is this Miss Kotomi's bathing bag or something like that? For the sake of -
[Ami and Kotomi looked at each other, and then grabbed both of the bathing bags they'd brought with them, and went into the bathing area. The bathing space had a very high ceiling, with a wall that was about twice Ami's height separating the male and female sections. There was a big gap at the top, and that was where Ayaana's voice was coming from, it seemed...]
- Ayaana-san! Are you there? Can you hear us?

Date: 2017-03-24 06:40 am (UTC)Kotomi's ears perk up, "my bag..." she tries looking for it, even sniffing it, when she realizes it's over the wall when she overhears Ayaana on the other end.
She runs forward to the wall, diving forth into the water with grace, then swimming eagerly to the other end, looking up at the gap she got to spot up there.
"It's here, Ami-chan! It's here! It's here!" And after fulfilling her canine desires, she grabs the bag, "Ayaana-kun! We are here! I think we have your bag!"
Kotomi looks at Ayaana's bag... "are you ready?"
