( ophelia shrugged) " oh well. It probably doesn't matter. Where did ya find it?" " at the bottom of the ocean. It was among other lost treasures" ( Oktavia responded) " i actually found a sunken ship as well." " cool!", " perhaps i can help bring up the treasures. I am sure they can be beneficial to your family and the villaige. " " sounds like a good idea. You don't have to bring them all up by yourself though. You can show us the exact spot where you found it and we can follow by boat." " that is a good plan." ( oktavia looked at the emblem Again) " however, if any of the treasures are special heirlooms, we should try to return them to their rightful owner." ( she smirked at ophelia) i remember when my heirlooms were missing last)
...All right, all right! I wouldn't mind giving them back, in that case - Well, as long as the original owners pay us a finder's fee, that is!
[Oktavia sighed, then, but then she snickered, too.]
- Well, all right, that's fair, I suppose - Since the original owners would never had gotten it back if it wasn't for us in that case anyway, and all.
[They sat on by the seaside for about half and hour more, and then walked home, Ophelia carrying Oktavia in her arms. Oktavia turned the goblet around in her hands again, wondering where the heck she had seen something like the symbol on it before.]
[Oktavia tilted her head, then, wondering if she should ask Prince Kyle if he knew anything about the symbol on the goblet. She didn't want to tell him anything about the treasure from the sunken ship nearby, though - Well, not without thinking things through and talking over the consequences with Ophelia and co, that is.]
[She didn't want to cause Ophelia or Ophelia's village any trouble, after all, and who knew what would happen if anybody really powerful got wind that there was a sunken ship which was probably filled with treasure right nearby the shore...]
...Hey, Ophelia! Let's keep the ship thing a secret until we figure out the best thing to do, all right?
- I wasn't plannin' on telling Handsome and Blue-haired anything about it, if that's what you were worried about...
[Ophelia laughed. Oktavia nodded at that, and then she went to the little guest room she was staying in, and carefully copied over the symbol on the goblet on a piece of paper. She then slowly went over to the window, and made a half curtsy in Kyle's direction, who was practicing his swordwork outside.]
...Your High - Lord Kyle! May I have your ear, if that is all right?
[Kyle immediately sheathed his sword, and came over to the window with a bright smile.]
- Of course you may, Lady Oktavia! What is it?
[Oktavia showed him the symbol she'd copied on the paper.]
...Do you have any idea what this symbol is, Lord Kyle?
[Kyle looked at the symbol for a moment, and then, his brow furreled.]
- That's...Hmmm. That looks awfully like a really old version of the Gold Kingdom's private family crest, actually, now that I think about it...
[Oktavia stared at the symbol she'd drawn on the paper again.]
...Ohhh. I didn't know that - Thank you, Lord Kyle!
[Kyle, in the meanwhile, was tilting his head.]
It's not an emblem that's used very often anymore, I think. The last time anybody officially used it was when the Queen Clara of the Gold Kingdom married her third and last husband -
[And then, he grimanced.]
...Who was also the father of You Know Who, as I just recalled. Gaah...
[Oktavia's mouth dropped open, then.]
- Queen Clara's third husband - Oh! I mean, I'd heard stories about the Gold Queen marrying her Royal Servant but, um...
[Kyle sighed, then.]
- Technically, Rodry whateverhisnamewas did have a title, since you can't serve Royalty directly without one, but he only was a very minor noble. The Gold Kingdom's Royal Council was aghast at the very notion of the Queen marrying her Royal Servant, from what I heard, but, um -
[Oktavia narrowed her eyes. Wait, so did that mean the late Queen Clara was pregnant already when she got married to her servant-husband? Good grief!]
...Well, anyway, after a while, the Council gave in. It helped that Queen Clara already had two Princes and a Princess with her properly high-ranking late husbands, of course.
So the Queen did manage to get officially married, but the Council wouldn't even give Rodry the title of Prince Consort, so Queen Clara decided to use her family's private crest in the ceremonies instead.
[Kyle sighed a bit, then.]
...You know, I do wonder what would have happened if all the heirs besides You Know Who hadn't just died in that shipwreck like that, I really do...
( as they were talking, little peach was still playing in the tide pools. None if them noticed the huge wave surging towards her.
