[The Beach And Fireworks Continuation 2 - John, Marie, Hal, and the Sailor Moon girls]

In John's case, he realizes it doesn't quite transform into the bodysuit he had intended to wear with the MJOLNIR. It seemed the program had certain limitations in regards to the height and mass of the user in some manner, especially if this was a disposable magitech item. His options wandered around yukatas, long pants, and shorts he settled with as the former were more difficult to move in.

His attention towards Hal shifts a little as he overhears Marie and Naru not by intention, but Spartan hearing. Normally, an ability Spartans themselves spoke nothing about unless mission-necessary for the sake of humility. Those matters were not his own.

That is, until he overhears the names Hal, Snake, and David.

"How known are y--"

There was a flash of light. And Joan decided she needed the clothes to be something else.

[Marie blinked as she heard Naru's comment about Hal. Huh?]

...You've never met David-san before, Naru-chan?

[Aand Naru's stared at her, her mouth dropping open.]

[...What?.]

[Hal, in the meanwhile, was staring at Joan, his eyes wide.]

[And then, he started to laugh.]

...You...You're so pretty like that, Ms. Joan!

Aged forty-six, and -still- with the body and height of an amazon, Joan frowned at Hal and literally looked him down in reminder of who she still was.

"Get me another suit."

Silvering hair notwithstanding, she still sounded like the young Joan, too.

[Marie saw Naru's expression, and then tilted her head, thinking.]

[She then took out her Phone, and made a holo pop out on top of it. David and Jupiter the dog are walking at a park with Hal at their side, chattering up a storm. David seems to be pretty used to Hal's chattering, and is just grunting and hnn'ing occasionally in respose, while Jupiter sometimes nods at what Hal is saying, and doggie-laughs occasionally.]

...That's Mr David, and the cute doggie is Jupiter!

[Naru stares at the very old looking man ambling along at Hal's side in the holo, and nearly goes crosseyed.]

[...Oi, oi...]

[And in the meanwhile, in the Men's Changing Room, Hal was snickering up a storm.]

...Oh, come on, Mr Jo - Ms Joan, we're wearing transformable magical clothing, right? Just change them into whatever you want them to be!

[And then, he ducked out of the Changing Rooms before John could throw something at him or worse, laughing all the while.]

- I'm sure you'll look utterly wonderful whatever you choose to wear, though, ha ha ha -

[Aand that is when he tripped and fell into the most nearby pool.]

[Cue Hal falling into the pool in slow motion for comedic effect...]

[...And then...Splash!]

[Hal is now not only female physically, but he looks like he's in his mid-twenties!]

[He also looks pretty darn cute like this, too, ha ha ha...]

Joan throws nothing. Instead, save for her glare, she watches Hal just as he moves away with a maniacal laugh just from above the wooden door and the isolated pool -- when he disappears with a loud splash.

The door swings open, and as a matter of fact, Joan walks out with a green two-piece bikini that does fit her very well. For an amazon nearing her fifties, she had the body of a senshi.

She stared for a long moment at Hal in the pool. Just as Hal comes out, Joan tosses a towel towards Hal's face. And a bra.

[Hal, who has now turned into a rather cute woman, nearly fell back into the pool as the bikini top Joan threw her way hit her square in the face!]

- Heeey!

[She took a couple of secondds to regain her balance, but then came out of the pool with the bikini top in her hand, snickering.]

...Thanks for the thought, Ms Joan, but I don't think I need this, I think...

[And then, she put her hand on the magical crystal that was connected to his swimwear, and concentrated.]

- Ta-da!

[Aand now, Female ! Hale is wearing a pretty one piece with blue and silver stripes and a skirt. She looked at herself in a nearby mirror on the pool walls, and grinned.]

...Ha ha ha! I do look pretty nice like this, if I say it myself, don't you think?

"Don't get used to it." Joan covered her with a dry towel, much like an aunt to her little niece. "It won't last long."

Or at the very least, it shouldn't last long, as Joan had never heard of transformations via magic being permanent. From Yuuko's study, however, this body wasn't so much an effect of Infinity as much as a side-effect of the geas the Librarian awakened, after having spent too long in a magic-rich environment.

She held Hal just as she looked at herself in the mirror, noticing few differences from her youthful body in her twenties to this one matching her normal age. The times Joan had taken over had become too common. Her spirit seemed to want to take over while she could.

Covering her bottom with a towel, Joan worried Infinity did, as well.

"Have the rest been affected?"

[Hal looked around them, thinking.]

- I'm not sure - Have you seen anybody else change like we did, right now?

[And that was when somebody started to head there way, looking very annoyed indeed.]

[Female ! Hal's mouth dropped open as she caught sight of a man who looked very much like her usual male self, walking grimly in their direction.

...Hey, you!

[The man said, pointing a dramatic finger her way.]

- That's - That's my body!

[Female ! Hal's sweatdropped, then. Wait, what?]

[And then, her eyes widened as she caught sight of a trim and athletic looking woman in her late 20s, who was following the other man, snickering up a storm. She was wearing a rather nice looking two piece swimsuit, and didn't look very much like she did the last time they met at all, but...]

- Daniella! Is that you?

[Daniella snickered even more, and waved a hand at that.]

...You look pretty nice like that, too, Dr Hal Emmerich, I must admit!

[Hal's eyes widened even more at that. So if this actually was the AU female version of Snake that he'd met before...]

[She looked at the other man again, goggle-eyed.]

...Halcyon? Is that you?

Joan looked above when she thought she heard a squeal, easily as she kept her sharpened senses, but before she can identify the familiar voices she turns to the far-too-familiar girl in front of them. She puts a hand over Hal as... well, she sees another Hal.

Much like the Hal she holds, Joan sweatdrops with a frown. "Not... necessarily." She looks at the Hal she knows, like a daughter. "It's a reality wave. It's changing genders."

Then she turns to the girl beside the man... Daniella? Joan squints, and recognizes her. And immediately enough releases her Hal to walk up to Daniella as if Joan was her aunt as well, and covers her with another towel.

Before she speaks more, Joan looks at the man, Halcyon, then to Daniella and Hal, silently asking about him.

...Hah?

[Daniella stares at the towel, and then stares at Joan. And then she grins again, and tosses the towel right back to Joan, snickering.]

- Hey, I'm good, Ma'am - It's not like I was the one who just got genderflipped, after all!

[Male ! Halcyon, on the other hand, was looking at Hal, and groaning.]

- Oh, great - So now I'm the wrong gender, and more then 10 years older then I should be, too boot!

[Female ! Hal, in the meanwhile, was looking rather bubbly, oddly enough.]

...Well OK...

[And then, she nodded toward the man who looked like Hal normally does with a grin.]

- She - He - Well anyway, he is usually a she, and looks just like I do right now. She's also a female alternate of me, as you probably could guess, and her name is Halcyon Emmerich!

[And then, he nodded at Daniella, who nodded back, still snickering.]

- And she's Daniella Smith - An alternate of David.

[The resembalance was subtle but obvious, once you looked for it, Hal thought. Ahh, how time flies - David had been around Daniella's age when they first met, and he'd looked his age, too, unlike how he looked now...]

[But really, Hal was just grateful that David was still in the land of the living at all, frankly. So what if he looked like he was around twince his actual age? David was heathy, and not in pain, and the special nanos Hal had managed to browbeat certain people into making were still managing to work, somehow or other - Hal was not going to look in the gift horses mouth when David was involved, that was for sure!]

[And then, Hal turned toward Joan, and snickered a bit himself.]

- And this is Mis - Ms Joan, and she's a friend of ours!

[He said to Daniella and Halcyon with a grin...]

[And in the meanwhile...]

[Naru was staring at all of them from near the entrance of the Women's Changing Rooms, her eyes wide. Marie, in the meanwhile, was staring at Naru herself, wondering just why her new friend was looking so goggle-eyed.]

[Wait a moment. Waaaait a moment.]

[Naru took a deep breath again, and rubbed her eyes.]

[...So that good looking woman in the bikini actually was...a female version of Solid Snake???]

Joan took the towel and saved it for, she knew, someone else that would be a victim of this. Upon the confirmation of Daniella, she takes a longer look at her. For a moment she glances at Hal, noticing his concern on the many things that might have happened between worlds...

Upon being introduced, she nods in a greeting. "Hello." It is then when, in part due to having been in a combat environment for a long while, Joan turned to where she knew they were being watched.


Marie sighed, knowing she had been found out, particularly since she knew well who the tallest woman among them was.

"Want to meet her?"

The gigantic girl turned to them.

[Naru stared at Marie, and gulped.]

[Had her friend just asked her if she wanted to meet a female version of Solid Snake?]

[Oh my, ohhh my...]

[And then, she took a deep breath, and quickly looked at her swimsuited self in the mirror. Alright, she looked OK, she supposed...]

[And then, she took a deep breath, and looked up at Marie.]

...You bet I do!

[And in the meanwhile...]

[Daniella was now looking at Naru and Marie, as her hearing was pretty damn good, and Marie talking about a "female version of Solid Snake" had managed to catch her attention quite well and throughly.]

[Hmmm...So just why did the cute girl with orange-red hair look so familiar?]

[And then, she got it, and blinked. Ohhh!]

[Daniella snickered, and then went up to her friend and partner, who was currently looking like she was about a decade older then usual and a man to boot.]

[Tap tap!]

[Halcyon - now in a body that looked a lot like Hal's normal one - blinked as Daniella tapped her on the shoulder. He then followed Daniella's hand signals, and looked at Naru and Marie. What? The taller girl looked like career military, and the shorter girl was oddly familiar, but neither seemed to be a threat for the moment, he thought -]

[- And that was the exact instant where he got a better look at the shorter girl with orange red hair.]

.......Osaka Naru!?!?!?

[He muttered beneath his breath, his eyes wide...]

... Joan would have hid her companions further, but knowing these were people that liked her, and reminding herself that none of the people here were anywhere as socially awkward as she was, she slowly released Hal.

In turn, Marie held Naru's hand as she brought her to Daniella. And laying on her bare toes as she looked amused at the pair, knowing she'd feel joy at seeing her up close, she instead focused on their guest.

"Should we let her keep your body?" Marie teasingly asked Joan. "You look good this way."

"No."

[Halcyon, now looking very much like Hal usually did, grinned almost blindingly when Naru came up to her at long last.]

- You're really Miss Naru Osaka? Oh, wow!

[Naru looked up at Halcyon ! Hal, and snickered at bit. And then, she whispered - ]

...Yes, yes I am! ...You must be from one of those worlds where I'm supposed to be a manga character or something, right?

[Halcyon ! Hal looked at Naru, and grinned.]

- I think you're probably closer to the first TV anime version's Naru-chan, to be honest.

[And then, Halcyon ! Hal grinned, and leaned closer to Naru, and whispered - ]

...So I was wondering...Am I supposed to be a video game character in your world, too? There're so many worlds were both me and Danni are characters in some kind of Mission Impossible fighting game, it seems...

[Marie blinked at that, and then looked at Joan, tilting her head. She did know about the video games and other things with characters who apparently were inspired from Master Chief John and the people he knew, never mind that the great majority of games had apparently been created in worlds where neither John or his friends existed in the first place, strangely enough, buuut...]

[And in the meanwhile, Hal, now looking like Halcyon usually did, was chuckling as she watched all of them. Once a fanboy or a fangirl...Ha ha ha!]
