[And then, she flushed.]
- Sorry - I was so annoyed at seeing the little creep, I didn't even recognize you!
[Sayaka smiled, and patted her on the arm.]
...Hey, it's OK, being an idol singer must be pretty stressfull all by itself, right?
[And then, she nodded at the stage, where Sara was taking her bows.]
- Don't worry, Miku-san - You'll always be a 1000 times better a singer then Sara the non-musical, I'm sure, though that's setting the bar pretty darn low...
[Miku nodded at that.]
...Sara-san can't really sing worth a damn, sure, but that's not really that important, actually - She does have what's called the aura of a star, I think, even though I didn't want to admit it. There're plenty of gimmicks to make your singing sound better then it really is nowadays, while it's almost impossible to fake a "star aura".
[And then, Sara's performance was over. Sara came rushing to the backstage, a big grin on her face.]
- Ha ha ha! I did it - Everybody loved me! Take that, Hatsune Miku -
[And then, she realized that Miku herself was right there, and closed her mouth, looking rather embarrassed.]
...Sure, fine. Congrats, Sara-san.
[Miku said, listlessly - But then, she sneered right at Sara.]
- Maybe one day, you could even get enough fans of your own to fill a big concert hall like this one for your own concert!

How she hated that sara... she winced as she soul gem throbbed again. o, she ddn't regret her wish.. but she regreted beign a magical girl maybe... as she saw a painting a thought suddenly came to her mind. she was suddenly reminded of one of her magical girl 'friends' Miyu. She was an artist. Hm, she hadnt heard form her in a while. whatever happened with her? last she heard of Miyu was an article in the newspaper about her latest art showing and the scandal involved that she other artists work and claimed them as her own, and the mental breakdown she had. Poor Miyu. Miku knew she had pride as an artist but didn't figure she was the type to plagiarize... she frowned at Kyubey who had appeared beside her] "What happened to Miyu anyway?" she found herself asking him as she got up to go back onstage
"Miyu has already made the transition." he informed, follwing her
[she paused[ "...what transition?"
"the one all magical girls eventually make"

[Sara glared at her when she heard that particular nickname - It came from her name, as "saba" meant "mackerel" - but then, went out of the room with a sniff.]
[And then, her face changed as she saw Miku's manager come down the corridors.]
...Sawaki-saaan! Did you see, did you see? They loved me!
[Sara said, nearly dancing around the tall man with the glasses.]
- Of course they did, Sara-chan - I knew you could do it?
[Sawaki said warmly, while Sayaka almost facepalmed. Wasn't that man supposed to be Miku's manager? He'd been interviewed for a couple of magazine articles, and Sayaka had remembered his name.]
[And then, she overheard what Kyubey and Miku talking to each other, and froze for a moment, her eyes wide.]
What happened to Miyu anyway?
[Miku had said, as she pushed her hair out of her way.]
Miyu has already made the transition.
[Kyubey had said, following her.]
"...What transition?"
[Miku had asked, and then, Kyubey had smiled. Sayaka shuddered - She'd never seen Kyubey smile like this! And then, she paused - Why hadn't she ever realized how fake Kyubey's normal smiles looked, anyway?]
The one all magical girls eventually make.
[Miku stared at the Kyubey, but then, her maneger came up to her.]
...Miku-chan! Come on, stop staring at the wall, please. - You have a concert to star in, remember?
[He said, with a more then slightly forced smile. Miku stared at him for a long moment, and then shook herself, visibly.]
- Yeah, right. Sorry, Sawaki-san.
[And then, Miku went back on stage while her fans cheered!]
...I'm back, everybody!
[And her fans cheered back -]
- Welcome back, Miku-saaan!
[Sayaka, in the meanwhile, was staring at the Kyubey.]
...What the. Hell. Do you mean, Kyubey!
[The Kyubey smiled again, then, and this time, it was his normal empty smile. Sayaka took a step back, then, as that was somehow even scarier then the smile from hell he'd just given to Miku.]
[And then, Kyubey raised his voice with a smile.]
- All Magical Girls turn into Witches, if they don't die first. That is their destiny.
....Females who have yet to become adults are called girls on this planet, right? A girl grows up, and turns into a women, if she doesn't die first.
And that's why you Puella Magi are called Magical Girls - You'll all going to turn into Witches eventually, after all!

"Prciesly miku hatune. " [kyubey answered.] "and now, you are making the transition."
"no... it can't be..." [but it was making sense now. and now, this was happening to her...no... she was so stupid...
..but would it really be so bad, a voice in her mind said. was it her voice? she didn't need this world anymore. she could be in her own world,,, he gem blacked and cracked...ok...she gave up...
she heard giggling and looked up as, in her vision at least, the twins floated down to her, wearing little angel wings and halos, and carrying a television.... her gem finally broke and reformed into a grief seed with a winged box emblem on it... her hair turned lank and black,, her bangs covering her eyes. her skin got a wooden texture and her joints become ball jointed like a dolls, and she stepped inside the television.
All these memories, displayed on the monitors..they were nice. but whre did they come from? who was she? her name, right. it was kirsten. though checking her monitor, she also went by Elly.
She wanted to stay in her box, and see more memories..

The dark magic was swirling up and up toward the skies, blowing the roof of the concert and performance hall away. Rin bit her lip as she heard screams from the amusement park section outside, wondering how the heck the damn Incubators were planning to hush this little fiasco up - ]
[And then, the entire concert hall seemed to go sideways, and get pulled into a dark swirling space!]
...Oh, damn...
[Rin muttered, and then looked at her mother and brother, who were still both staring in the direction Miku had been just a few moments ago, their faces white.]
[There still was a stage in front of them, and it looked eeriely normal - Except that their was now a gigantic TV in the middle of it, and lots and lots of screens floating around it.]
[And most of the audience were slumping over in their seats, but about 10 to 15 people, not counting the Magical Girls, seemed to be awake. A rather chubby man in a I Love Miku T-shirt was clutching one of his batons, staring at the stage with tears in his eyes.]
- Miku-chan, Miku-chan, noooo!
[Rin stared, then, as the baton in the man's hand glowed faintly. Oh, so he was one of the naturally magical ones, then? He didn't feel like he was very high powered at all, buuut.]
[Madoka found herself floating in a dark space.]
(- Kaname Madoka! Madoka, please wake up - This is an emergency, all right?)
...What the heck, Kyubey...Stop pushing me around!
[She mumbled - And then, she opened her eyes with a groan -]
[- And then, she closed them again, quickly. The red eyed critter was sitting right on top of her, and behind him was - ]
[...This was a Witch Barrier. They were stuck inside a bloody Witch Barrier - And so was everybody else in the audience!]
...Oh, frag.
[Madoka said, and pushed the Kyubey off her, trying to get to her feet.]
- Kyubey, Kyubey, what in the world did you do!?!?
[The Kyubey stared at her, and then at Mami, who was still staring at the stage, her face frozen.]
[And then, he turned back to Madoka with his normal empty smile.]
...What I did isn't very important at all, now, I don't think!
[Kyubey's red eyes were twinkling now, Madoka realized faintly.]
- Kaname Madoka, I think this would be a very good time to make a Contract with me and become a Magical Girl.
[And then, he hopped up to Madoka, and tilted his head.]
...I mean, you really have an amazing amount of potential - I've never met anybody like you, to be honest!
[And then, he looked around them. Most of the people were slumped in their seats, but some were awake, and a chubby young man was staring at the stage, tears running down his face.]
- I'm not supposed to make suggestions about Wishes, but I'm sure you're already getting all kinds of ideas about what should be done now.
[And then, his smile became sly.]
...The sky's the limit, Madoka - You can make everything better. All you have to do is make a Contract with me, and become a Magical Girl!
[And in the meanwhile...]
[Sayaka came to her senses, and found herself in her Magical Girl garb. She grabbed her sword, and forced herself up from the floor, groaning.]
[...And then, she remembered everything.]
...Kyuuubeeeeyyyyy!
[The blue magic crackled around her, and swirled up to the ceiling...]

"yes, I know. I shall deal with it!"
[Kyubey finally oticed the now mini witches inside Mami's bag, who were wriggling and chirpring, sensing their new sister] "Mami, why do you have altered witches in your bag?"
"Oh yes, your friend Nanbei gave me a device that would allow me to tame witches! But no time to explain about that now. Come on, Madoka!"
"R-right~" Madoka fallowed, glad to be away from Kyubey.
Kyubey swished his tail in interest "So number 7. you have finally shown up again... this could be an issue."

...Shuush, shuush, dearies, calm down now, OK?
[And then, she looked at Madoka, biting her lip.]
...Oh, Madoka-san, this is terrible - I just turned my head away from the stage for a moment, and...
[And then, she looked at the big box and floating screens on the stage, and groaned.]
- I'd felt something was wrong, but the concert was about to begin, and - Poor Miku-san! Maybe this could have been prevented, if I'd checked her dressing room first...
[And in the meanwhile, outside the concert hall...]
[A panting Homura had just arrived. She ran through the open door - And then, stared at the empty hall. There were cans and drinks and pamphlets and fan things littered everywhere, but not a human being in sight - ]
[- And the place stank with the vibes of a new born Witch!]
[And back in the Witch Barrier...]
[Sayaka was now pointing her sword at yet another Kyubey body, her whole body glowing with magic.]
...Kyubey...You...You...
[She grit out, and then licked some blood off her lips, realizing that she must have gotten hurt when she fell.]

"Yes, I'm fine..."
[meanhile]
[Within moments a trickle of music magic healed Sayaka's cut, but her heart was shaking in fear and rage and disbelief] "Damn you, Kyubey.... you, liar..."
"I did not lie. it is not within my construct. " [Keyubey replied simply, taking the hits] "It was not information needed to know at the moment. But it's all a perfectly natural part of the magical girl system."
[Kyoko was on her way to the witch, but she stopped to watch the scene] "What did that little cretin do this time? and natural cyycle of what?" [she was concerened about the expression on Sayaka's face]
"...Kyuoko..." there were tears in sayaa's eyes

- The real concert hall was filled with fan stuff and pamphelets, but no real people. I had to teleport inside here, and it was hard, like something was trying to block me...
[Madoka looked around at all the unconsious people around them, and groaned.]
...So they're all real people? Oh, no - We have to find some way to save them, Homura-chan!
[And then she thought about Kyubey, and bit her lip. Maybe, just maybe, if she could think of the right Wish - ]
[And in the meanwhile, Sayaka was almost crying.]
...That Akemi girl was telling the truth, and so was Madoka - Magical Girls all - We all turn into Witches, in the end! That's what Kyubey said!
[The Kyubey looked up at both of them, and tilted his head - And then, his smile went dark and cold.]
- Well, unless you people die first, that is, but I do hope it doesn't come to that - I get a great deal of extra energy when a Magical Girl goes Witch, you see!

"Unfortunately there isn't. Once a magical girl goes witch, its over. They're trapped, monstrous, lost in their own despair..."
[meanwhile]
[And Kyouko stared at that, shocked. then her face darkened] "...you little shit,..." [she ran Kyubey through with her spear] "I just knew there was something more to it!!!"

[One of them said, while the other one ate the dead Kyubey's body. Kyuppon!]
[And that was when Sayaka shook her head.]
...No, no, no - My Wish was -
[And then, she gave the newly arrived Kyubeys a look of disgust, and turned toward the stage.]
- If my Wish really came true, I should be able to wish for anything, right?
[Sayaka pointed a shaking finger at the stage, and the big box on it.]
...I wish - I wish that Hatsune Miku would stop being a Witch, and turn back into a human girl!
[There was a great crashing sound, then, like the surf breaking - And Sayaka staggered to her knees, feeling very faint all of a sudden.]
[The Kyubeys looked around them, and smiled, then.]
...Oh, very interesting - You seem to have managed to drag Miku's Witch's Witch Barrier right into your mini world, Sayaka!
[Sayaka was feeling so faint she could barely understand what the Kyubey was saying, but she forced herself to stand up anyway.]
- Miku-san! Where is Miku-san?
[And that was when there was a soft sound behind her. Miku was standing behind Sayaka, dressed in the outfit they'd last seen her.]
...Sayaka-san.
[She murmured.]
- I don't think this is going to last very long - But thanks, anyway.

"But you're all right now?"
"like I said, yes for now but I know it won't last. now I got to figure out what to do now. Do I go on being a witch, or should I have you end me..."
"But why didn't it work!"
"Don't tell me, you tried the infinite wishes thing?" Kyoko rolled her eyes "you really are a moron! Wishes aren't that easy, and it just takes the value out of it if you cheat like that. So thats why its probably not working!
"But my wishes did work!" didn't they? Kyosuke was cured, but the others, well did she only dream of it? And, if she did wish not go witch, would it still work at all? What would she end up as? She felt sickened]

- Miki Sayaka's wishes will mostly keep on working just fine, as long as she'd in this mini-world her original Wish created, and she doesn't run out of energy.
[Kyoko glared at them, wondering which one to stamp on first - ]
[- And that was when two Kyosukes arrived on the scene, both at once!]
...Sayaka!
[The one in the fancy suit said, and then gave her a hug.]
- Don't worry - Everything will be all right now, now that's I'm here...
[The other Kyosuke - who was wearing jeans and a T-shirt - shook his head with a groan.]
...No, no, no - I don't think so, really I don't.
[And that was when Kyoko blinked.]
- Hey, wait - So if Sayaka just makes a wish so all the people in the audience get sent back, safe and sound?
[Sayaka looked at her dully, and gently pulled herself out of the arms of the Kyosuke who was hugging her.]
...OK, sure, we can try that - I wish that the unconsious people get sent back to the normal world, right now soonest.
[And then - All the unconcious people were gone, along with their belongings, just like that.]
[And then, Sayaka put her hands to her face. She couldn't cry. Not yet.]

Date: 2015-11-17 06:57 am (UTC)Sayaka sank to a seat, tears thereatining to fall. She had sent the real Kyosuke back for his own safety, but the dream version she had creature sat nearby trying to comfort her. Kyoko shoved him off and looked down at Sayaka, full of concern "...you ok?"
"i-it's all been a lie..." Sayaka sniffled "Even this. it's an illusion my wish ended up creating... I, I don't know what to do anymore! I'm going become the very monster I thought I was fighting! Even if I wished that I wouldn't, it would only last as long as I remain here in this dream,,,,

Date: 2015-11-19 05:39 am (UTC)...But Miki Sayaka! That doesn't have to be a problem at all if you never leave your mini-world, correct?
[The two Kyubeys looked at each other, then, exchanging thoughts and images. It was too bad that Miki Sayaka's mini-world wasn't really stable enough for them to consider moving at least part of their operation into it on a semi-permanent basis, but they probably could get some useful data from this little debacle, anyway.]
- Of course, there is the not so minor problem that you might fall to despair anyway, or just plain run out of enough energy to sustain the mini-world, but whatever, whatever - That doesn't look like it's going to happen any time soon, in either case!
[The other Kyubey said, then - And then, they both turned around, and looked toward Madoka, their red eyes glittering. Exploring the possibilities of those mini-universes the Puella Magi sometimes produced was interesting and important in it's own right, they were pretty sure, but for now, dealing with Kaname Madoka was much higher on their priority list.]
[And that was when there was a cough, and Rin arrived on the scene.]
...Hey, you, bluehead. I do appreciate you sending my Mom back home, I must admit, but -
[And then, she gestured toward the blonde boy coming up just behind her.]
- Couldn't you send my brother home as well?
[Len glared at her, then, and also glared at the other girls there as well for good measure.]
...Don't you dare, Rin! And the rest of you, as well!
[And inside Kirsten Elly's little box space...]
[The two Familiars looked at each other, their ball joints clacking.]

"Looks like she's sulking right over there." Kyouko pointed.
Len nodded and ran over, looking inside the box "Miku?"
",,,Len..." she monaed, not looking up at him "I'm sorry about this...
"It's ok. Its not your fault."
"You shoulld get away form me... I'm a witch now...I coul hurt you...

[Sayaka, in the meanwhile, was sitting down on the floor again, as she suddenly got dizzy again. Why did she keep feeling so faint, all of a sudden? It was like something was draining her energies away by the truckload or something!]
[Miku / Elly gently hugged Len back, and then moved away from him.]
- I think - I think I should -
[And then, her face dropped.]
...Being a Witch is really horrible, Len - It's like being trapped in a nightmare of your own making that never goes away...
[And then, she reached up with a jointed hand, and patted his face.]
- Don't ever make a Contract and become a Magical Boy, Len. OK?
[And in the meanwhile...]
[Rin was biting her lip. If only there was a way to actually turn Miku back into a normal human girl...]
[But she'd seen people who tried to do that too in her past life, and it had never worked in the way they'd wanted it to.]
[And that was when a voice started up in her head. Rin shook her head.]
...Huh? Oh, Eight? Yeah, I do remember you, but...
[And then, she blinked.]
- You gave Tomoe Mami a what!?
[And then, she spun around. Oh, she had no idea if using any version of the Music Box Thing was the right thing to do, to be honest, but - Where the heck was the Tomoe girl, anyway!?]

Miku blinked, and responded in the witch language ]"I remember you. I fought and defeated you before, didn't I? I'm, soryr about that. now that I know who you really are. Though what are you doing here?"
"Bebe, please don't run off like that." Mami walked up, pointing her rifle at Miku/Kirsten Elly. She nodded at Len "get away from the witch!"
"Wait, you don't understand!" Len stood in front of the witch protectively "Don't hurt her! It's Miku!

[Sayaka mumbled, and then looked up at Kyoko, getting a bit red in the face.]

[And in the meanwhile, Rin was groaning a bit. The blue haired girl was using up even more of her magic to make herself feel better, wasn't she?]
[But then, she turned away - Having the bluehead comatouse on the floor wasn't going to help anybody survive this mess, after all. Sometimes, people really did need a magical pick me up, in her personal experience...]
[And in the meanwhile, Mami was almost spluttering as she glared at Len.]
...What in the world are you talking about? That's - That's a Witch! How could she be Hatsune Miku?
[But then, she shuddered a bit when she remembered something Madoka had said. Something about...something about Magical Girls turning into Witches...]
[She shook her head, then, frantically, and pushed the errant thought out of her mind. She didn't have time to be distracted by nonsense like that now, she really, really didn't...]

[Kyouko sighed] "Because I was wrong... The truth is, you remind me, of how I used to be. In my early days as a magical girl, I was wide eyed and hopeful, I fought for love and justice and all that, and wanted to make a world a better place. I remember now, how good that felt...]" [mournfully, she finally recounted to Sayaka her backstory and what happened with her family and the tragegy that occurred. Sayaka listened intently, unsure of what to say.]
[Meanwhile, Mami lifted her rifle and aimed it again at the witch] "You must be affected by the witch's illusions. So step away!"
"No, I won't let you hurt her!" [Len stood in defiance, defending Miku/Kirsten Elly.]
[The twin familiars chittered and swooped down in attack towards Mami]

[And then, she took a good hard look at the pink haired girl, and then at the Incubators who were watching them. Oh, so that was why the stupid red-eyes were throwing all caution to the wind this time! The girl had so much potential that some of the energies were leaking out of her even without a Contract.]
[Rin looked around them, them. The rest of them seemed to be mostly Magical Girls, though the young man in a I love Miku T-shirt was still here with his baton in his hands, staring at the stage forlornly.]
[...All right, then. Rin took a deep breath, and tapped Mami on the shoulder.]
- Hey, look - I think you should be thinking about other things for now, all right? If you don't want to believe that that Witch is Hatsune Miku, fine.
[And then, she pointed at Mami's bags.]
...But for now, I want you to lend me that Music Box Thing you have in there. OK?

"I heard Kyubey saying it himself. and then I saw it happen to Miku Hastune..." [she sighed] "Listen, Madoka. I'm sorry, but I have to stay here. Where I can't hurt anyone..."
"don't sa that, Sayaka!"[Madoka cried] "I know what I could do, I'll make_"
"Don't even think about it, Madoka! Its not worth it. You're lucky to have such a good life, go on living it...guess we'll have to come up wit some excuse for my parets..]
[meanwhile]
[Mami blinked] "how did you know about the music box?"
"Nanbei told me about it."

- So how do you mean to use it, anyway? The music box thing isn't useful at all unless you can get access to a Witch's Grief Seed, and the only way to do that, as far as I know, is -
[And that was when Elly jumped on Len and pinned him down! Mami and the other girls stared at the scenes playing across the countless screens. So what were all those other girls in medivial looking outfits who looked just like them, anyway?]

[Len said sadly, and patted Elly's face, which was covered by her dark straggly hair. Elly just crooned at him in Witchspeak, however.]

[And then, she grabbed Len like a toy, and tried to drag him into one of the TV sets! The fan boy looked at her, then, tears in his eyes.]
- Miku-san! No!
[Elly froze for a moment at that - And that was when Rin growled something under her breath, then, and stood up straight, her magic starting to ball on top of her cleched fist.]
...Sorry, Miku - If I have to choose between Len and you, it'll have to be Len each and every time, I'm afraid...
[Madoka shuddered, then. Wasn't there something she could do? Oh, of course, she could always make a Contract and make those horrible Kyubeys happy, but -]
[And then, she felt something like a soft wind. Somebody was standing right next to her for a moment, she felt, somebody with gold shining eyes -]
[And then, she remembered something that she'd overheard between Sayaka and Kyoko. Sayaka had Wished for infinite wishes? And what had the Kyubeys said about that? As long as Sayaka was in her mini-world, and didn't run out of energy, whatever that actually meant -]
[And that was when Madoka shook her head, her eyes glowing faintly gold for a moment.]
- Okta - Sayaka? Could you wish for the real Miku to come out of the Witch, and to turn back into a Magical Girl again, even if it's just for a short while?
[Sayaka stared at Madoka, and then shook her head, and held on to Kyoko, staggering to her feet.]
...All right, Madoka. I'll do that - I don't think I can keep it up for long, though -
[And then, she waved her hand - And all of a sudden, the Witch which was chanting to herself seemed to be split in half! Puella Magi Miku had manifiested herself right next to Elly and Len. She shook her head, and then looked at Madoka.]
- Thank you.
[And then, she turned toward Sayaka.]
...And thank you, too.
[And then, she turned toward the fan, who was still looking at her, tearing poaring down his face.]
- I remember you, Saito-san - You were the very first person who said I should have a fanclub of my very own.
[And then, she looked at Rin and Len.]
...Thanks for being my friends, both of you -
[And then, she opened her arms, and bowed to all the people there.]
- And now, ladies and gentlemen - Welcome to Hatsune Miku's very last concert!
[And then, she opened her mouth, and began to use the power of her songs to defeat the Witch, as she'd done so many times before...]

" thank you..,, good bye.,,,". Both mikus disappeared snd the grief seed dropped ti the ground.
Len sank to his kneed sadly. Rin patted his shoukder " dint worry, dhes not dead. Shes just asleep in thr grief seed."
The monitors and the familiars disappeared.

[Rin groaned again, and tried to say something - And that was when what seemed to be something like a small twinkling light appeared in front of them for a couple of seconds. It twirled around for a couple of seconds, and then disappeared.]
[The two Kyubeys looked at each other, then, while Rin put a hand to her head again.]
...I hate it when you say "interesting" like that, Eight. Just what do you mean?
[She mumbled for a couple of more minutes, mumbling to herself, and then went and picked up Elly's Grief Seed before anybody could stop her.]
- Well, OK, that explains why some Witches are... OK, OK, I get it...
[And then, she took her brother, and put a hand on his shoulder.]
...According to a certain somebody I've just been talking to, the real Miku's soul core, whatever that is, seems to have gotten away, and this is just some leftovers made from her spirit. A lot of the time, the soul is trapped inside the Witch when a girl goes Witch, but not always, it seems - And that does explain how sometimes, Magical Girls can reincarnate anyway, after they'd gone Witch, I suppose.
[And then, she sighed a bit - Eight had also mentioned that Witches with a soul trapped inside seemed to tend to be smarter and much more powerful then Witches whose soul had vamoosed, but she didn't want to give the normal Incubators even more ideas then they'd probably had already, to be honest.]
