[fortunately for nagisa, the window was open, so she did not have to crash through glass. She gasped in horror upon seeing Hananko and ran to her side) "Hankaoo!! Whats wrong" Nagisa shook her urgently "Come on wake up!" "Is this her?" Mami came over and checed for her pulse. There was no pulse, and the girl was touch to the touch. Odd, the mark upon her finger was a bit different, and the ring was broken. Although this body was still in perfect condition, seeming as if she was only asleep, Mami realized what condition she was in. "Oh no..." Nagisa looked up at mami with tears in her eyes "she's not moving! I think she's hurt! We have to get her to a doctor!
[Mami looked at Hanako for a long moment, and then leaned over Hanako's body, putting her fingers on Hanako's neck.]
[Hanako's body was cool and unmoving, and their was no pulse whatsoever under her fingers.]
[She then picked up Hanako's hand, trying to figure out what was strange about the mark on her finger. It looked - smudged, for lack of a better word. Like it had been trying to turn into something else, but hadn't quite made it, or something...]
[And then, she stood up straight, and turned toward Nagisa.]

[And then, she knelt down again, looking into Nagis's eyes.]

[Nagisa looked back at her with wide eyes] "I, don't understand..." "We were too late" She gently put her hands on nagisa's shoulders "...She's dead.." "d-dead...? No! She can't be!" tears were welling up into her eyes. "Say it isn't so!" She didnt have much experience that she remembered with death, only when her beloved pet mouse Pyotr died a few months ago. "I'm sorry Nagisa cghan.." Mami drew her into a hug and let her cry for a while. Eventually she said "she is fortunte that her body wasnt lost in the barrier. We should call someone to find it. at least she wil be given a proper burial.."
[Nagisa slumped down on the ground, looking at Hanako and Anthony. She looked at the cat, dull eyed, and slowly stroked his head with one finger. His fur was all cool now, and ants were starting to gather around his mouth.]

[She looked up at the house, and stood up, wiping her eyes. She'd buried Pyotr in a empty tissue box, but...Did they even make tissue boxes big enough to bury Anthony in?]

[And that was when Mami twitched, and turned toward the driveway, going white. A car was heading toward the house and garden they were in - And it didn't seem like the driver of said car was in very good shape, either, as it kept veering into the walls and telephone poles, scraping off paint as it went past...]
"Soon the car swerved closer to the house and through the driveway, passing the pavement , making right it's way to Nagisa, who was too numbed with grief to notice it! " Nagisa chan!!! Look out!!! At the call, Nagisa looked up, her eyes widendindg, and she jumped in the nick of time,, her magical girls abilities accelerated her agility and jumping skills, before the car could ram into her. Yes it still clipped her and sent her flying
[And Hanako's father stared in horror as the little girl in the strange uniform bounced agaist his car, and went crashing into one of the hedges!]

[He frantically pedaled the brakes, and managed to stop his car before it crashed into a nearby telephone pole entirely.]
[He then got out of the car, panting and looking very sickly indeed.]
- Little Miss! Are you all right!?
[Nagisa shook her head, winded. She didn't feel like she was too hurt, but...]

[And then she groaned, as she realized that blood was poaring down her face. There was something wrong with her left eye, too - She couldn't see out of it at all!]
[Mami, in the meanwhile, was looking at both Nagisa and Hanako's father, horrorstuck.]

"Oh no!! Nagisa chan!" Mami ran over and knelt by her and took out a kerchief, trying to dab off the excess blood "Mami sempai, I think, I got hurt." Nagisa whimpered "bu why don't I feel anything?" "your nerves are are probably subdued of pain for now from the shock, but it looks like your eye is damaged." She couldn't take her to the hospital like this, the doctors would not understand. Normally a magical girls injuries would slowly heal themselves over time. unless the girl put lots of magic effort into instant healing, unless their special ability included much higher healing rate with less effort. This was an abilitiy Mami sadly did not have, let alone to give other people. There were times Mami had to heal herself from grievous energies but had almost exausted her magic supply at the time. ""All right Nagisa chan, calm down. We are going to heal your eye. However, I do not have enoug magic power to do it on my own, so we wil need to use both of our power" "o-ok.." Nagisa sniffled "What do I have to do?" "Just relax, take out your soul gem , and focus... feel the magic, envision it healing..." Mamo took out her own soul gem with one hand and took nagisa's hand with the other, focusing. Nagisa closed her eyes and tried to follow her instructions. Mami's magic felt really nice, like a warm golden syrup. Eventually she felt sharp tingles in her eyes and she gasped. When she opened them, she found she could see properly with both eyes again "It worked!! I can see again!" "It did, wonderful1" But wait, something was off. Instead of Nagisa's usual honey ey color, they were how multicolored circles. One eyes had blue yellow and green rings around the pupil, and the other had red yellow and green rings
[So this was Hanako's father? Uh-oh..Nagisa ran to his side ] "Mr Minagishi! you don't look so well! Maybe we need to get you back to the hospital!" "No... Hanako..." But, Hanako is, Im so sorry, we were too late..." Nagisa did not know how she should tell him the awful news. "Mami what should we do!" "Hold on.." Mami pulled out her cell phone and called for an ambulance. Nagisa tried to bring Mr Hinagihi indoors but she couldn't manage it "Mami should we wait here until the ambulance?" "We probably should... " Mami knew she would need to come up with an explanation to the authorities. It would be Also troubling to explain what Nagisa was doing out of the hospital. Always an explanation like she was her babysitter as to who she was, but Nagisa would still probably receive a scolding and worrying over.
[And that was when Mami shook her head. Damn it, calling the ambulance from her own phone had not been one of her best ideas ever, now that she had time to think about it, but...]

Come Nagisa" Nagisa just wiped her eyes and followed him away from the area. The hospital actually was only not too far away so it was not a long walk for the young girl. The ambulance soon arrived to the Minagishi's. As the paramedic's subdued the hysteric Mr Minagishi and the police investigated Hanahko's body, Mami was talking to the police, still just as anxious but having changed out of her magical garb "Hanako and I, we were workmates. She has having a serious depression lately , so I went over to see how she was doing and I brought her a cake.The house was silent when I arrived, so I checked in the garden , that is one of her favorite places, and then , then I found her laying still like that..." she was shaking "I was stating to panic, and then just afterwards her father came swerving in, he seemed out of his mind..."
[meanwhile Nagisa had arrived back at the hospital and snuck back in through the window to her room, jumping up with her enchanced abilities. she still felt numb from what happened, and starting to feel groggy. She sat back down on her bed with a sigh "I can't believe it..." At that moment the door opened and the nurse ran in, looking alarmed "There you are Nagisa chan! We were looking all over for you! We thought you were in the garden, but you werent there! And noone saw you_" Her eyes widened as she saw Nagisa's new costume, with blood still smeared on her face and her multicolored eyes
[The policeman sighed, and asked Mami her name, address and telephone number to write down on his report. Mami told him all he wanted to know, sighing inwardly. It really hadn't been a good idea to call the ambulence from her phone, but after she'd done that, she'd had no choice but to stick around, she thought.]
[Well, at least it seemed like she could get away with not mentioning poor Nagisa-chan at all, since poor Mr Minagishi was so sick...People would surely think he wasn't in his right mind, even if he babbled about a girl getting hurt, right?]
[And in the meanwhile, in the hospital...]

[The nurse was staring at her in shock, her eyes wide.]

[After the police finally let her go, Mami decided to go over to the hospital to make sure Nagisa got back ok]
[The nurse looked at nagisa, who was now back to her normal appearence, addled with confusion] "What? Nagisa chan, you were, just a moment ago, your face an clothing_" [And ten an idea suddenly came to Nagisa for an explanation.] "Ah my clothing? I was playing dress up!" Behind her back, she managed to magick up a copy of her magical girl outfit and contact lenses of her bizarre eyes, and presnted them to the nurse] "Im a quick changer! but you got me, it's for a project I'm working on, it's going to be a special surprise for Mama!" "But, the blodd_" "Its not blood silly! Its jelly! the nice intern gave me some jelly donuts!"
[Meanwhile Mami arrived at the hospital and went up to the register] "Hello, I'm here to see Nagisa Momoe? I am her baby sitter. I mean I was, until she got sick and had to stay here, the poor thing. But I really wanted to see her again, I brought her a present"
The nurse sighed as she saw him "So he is back. Why did he release him in the first place, he clearly wasn't doing well enouh yet. Maybe he managed to run off..."
Nagisa looked saddened at that, reminded of Hanako "Mister Nigashi..." She would makke point to visit him later. "Well then, It is time for your dinner now, Nagisa Chan! And no more jelly donuts, you know you can not have sweets with your medication!" the nurse took her hand and brought her back to the room "Could I see Mama after that?" Nagisa asked hopefully as she settled into bed "I'm sure you can. We'll ask the doctor." Another nurse came in. "there is a miss Tomoe to see Nagisa?" "Mami nee chan!" Nagisa brighteed up
[Kyubey looked at Mami and Nagisa talking to each other avidly, and nodded to himself. So yet another Puella Magi had been set on the right path, for whatever that was worth. Mission accomplished.]

But what could he explain, no one would believe him about this magical gril things! He just slipped into his pajamas, patetd his twin good nigt, and dropped into bed, dipping into sleep...
Elegant dances... Rin laughing joyfully... then to rage... screams... war... tears... a sharp pain in his neck....
Rin woke up the next morning, her head heavy "ugh... what happened? Did the concert, get out of control last nigt? Mst have been some party..." And she was onlyy 14, Meiko would have a chuckle. Dreams were weird though. Only dreams, right? She slopped out of bed to the kitchen, not feeling like jogging Len awake and grabbed some orange juice for herself . She groaned more when she heard the phone ring, but she grabbed it anyway.. "...mm...hello...." But her attitude brightened up when she heard the voice on the other end "Oh! Mom! Hi!"
[Her mother said, happily - Rin could almost see her smiling on the other side of the phone.]
How are you doing? I'm having such a wonderful time now, at the Canderolo Castle Hotel... There're so many old stories and legends to check out, after all!

Nagisa just wiped her eyes and followed him away from the area. The hospital actually was only not too far away so it was not a long walk for the young girl. The ambulance soon arrived to the Minagishi's.
As the paramedic's subdued the hysteric Mr Minagishi and the police investigated Hanahko's body, Mami was talking to the police, still just as anxious but having changed out of her magical garb
"Hanako and I, we were workmates. She has having a serious depression lately , so I went over to see how she was doing and I brought her a cake.The house was silent when I arrived, so I checked in the garden , that is one of her favorite places, and then , then I found her laying still like that..." she was shaking "I was stating to panic, and then just afterwards her father came swerving in, he seemed out of his mind..."
[meanwhile Nagisa had arrived back at the hospital and snuck back in through the window to her room, jumping up with her enchanced abilities. she still felt numb from what happened, and starting to feel groggy. She sat back down on her bed with a sigh "I can't believe it..."
At that moment the door opened and the nurse ran in, looking alarmed "There you are Nagisa chan! We were looking all over for you! We thought you were in the garden, but you werent there! And noone saw you_" Her eyes widened as she saw Nagisa's new costume, with blood still smeared on her face and her multicolored eyes

It really hadn't been a good idea to call the ambulence from her phone, but after she'd done that, she'd had no choice but to stick around, she thought.]
[Well, at least it seemed like she could get away with not mentioning poor Nagisa-chan at all, since poor Mr Minagishi was so sick...People would surely think he wasn't in his right mind, even if he babbled about a girl getting hurt, right?]

[The nurse was staring at her in shock, her eyes wide.]
- Why do you have blood on your face?
[And then she gulped.]
...And your...your eyes...
[Eeek!]
[Nagisa pushed past her, and started to run toward the nearby toilet. She quickly washed the blood off her face, and had already de-transformed and was standing on her tippy toes, trying to see if her eyes were back to normal, when the nurse caught up with her, panting.]
[Nagisa stared up at her, her eyes wide. Uh, oh...]

[And ten an idea suddenly came to Nagisa for an explanation.] "Ah my clothing? I was playing dress up!" Behind her back, she managed to magick up a copy of her magical girl outfit and contact lenses of her bizarre eyes, and presnted them to the nurse] "Im a quick changer! but you got me, it's for a project I'm working on, it's going to be a special surprise for Mama!"
"But, the blodd_"
"Its not blood silly! Its jelly! the nice intern gave me some jelly donuts!"
[Meanwhile Mami arrived at the hospital and went up to the register] "Hello, I'm here to see Nagisa Momoe? I am her baby sitter. I mean I was, until she got sick and had to stay here, the poor thing. But I really wanted to see her again, I brought her a present"

[The nurse sighed, then, and leaned back, her hands to her waist. And then, she smiled and waved a finger in Nagisa's direction.]
...Well, OK, Nagisa-chan - I'll let this go, just this once.
[Aand Nagisa breathed a great sigh of relief!]

[And that was the exact moment that Hanako's father passed outside the toilet they both were talking in, being pushed along in a gurney...]

"Could I see Mama after that?" Nagisa asked hopefully as she settled into bed
"I'm sure you can. We'll ask the doctor."
Another nurse came in. "there is a miss Tomoe to see Nagisa?"

Rin woke up the next morning, her head heavy "ugh... what happened? Did the concert, get out of control last nigt? Mst have been some party..." And she was onlyy 14, Meiko would have a chuckle. Dreams were weird though. Only dreams, right? She slopped out of bed to the kitchen, not feeling like jogging Len awake and grabbed some orange juice for herself . She groaned more when she heard the phone ring, but she grabbed it anyway.. "...mm...hello...." But her attitude brightened up when she heard the voice on the other end "Oh! Mom! Hi!"
