[A white, cute critter looks around, it's scarlet eyes impassive.]

- This is odd. I feel something, but I'm not sure what it is at all.

[The green haired girl standing besides him laughed, clapping her hands.]

...Ha ha ha - Kyubey-chan, you looked so puzzled, just now!

[Kyubey blinked slowly.]

- I did?

[She giggles and picks him up, hugging tightly] "That's ok! It's just so cute!!" [ooh, he was so soft and fluffy!] "anyways, I think I got the witches in the area for now. Then I got a quick rehearsal, meeting with the manager, then to meet up with everyone!"
[Balancing the life of a teenageer girl, a magical girll, and an up and coming idol kept her busy!

[Kyubey laughed, and smiled at her.]

And now, you've got extra Grief Seeds, too, which is good.

[He then patted her with his paw, softly.]

...Say, why don't you clean up your Soul Gem again, while you have the time? Every little bit helps, you know!

"ah right, good point!" She held a grief seed to her teal gem and absored the energies, broghtening it "much better! Well, shall we be off?"

[Kyubey looked up at her again, and then jumped out of her arms.]

...I have to go and check out some other things, I'm afraid - Sorry, Miku!

[He said, and then gave her the meaningless smile that most of the other Puella Magi seemed to like so much.]

- You just go and have a good time, OK?

Later that day, everyone was gathering to Miku's performance at the park, including the twins. In fact, they were her best friends]

[The twins arrived at the park, carrying some presents for their friend.]

...Woooow, look at all the people coming to see Miku-chan sing!

[Len says, laughing - And indeed, the park seems to be practically filling up with people wearing I love Miku T-shirts and carrying shining batons.]

[Rin, on the other hand, can't help feeling a bit jealous - Though she can't really figure out if she's jealous of Miku herself or annoyed that Miku doesn't have time to hang out with them like she used to.]

...Stop gawking, Len!

[She sighs, and holds her bag close, sighing a bit.]

But by now, Rin was aware of and acceoted that Len probably had ffeelings for Miku. It was all right, she was their best friend, so she knew and trusted her.... but why did it still subcnsouliy bother her?
They watched her perform happily.

- Hello, everybody!

[Miku grinned, as she came up onto the stage.]

[She just loved this moment, she really did, with her fans cheering her on and on.]

[She was so so so glad she'd met Kyubey that day, she thinks, as she waves her hand toward her fans...]

After a few energizing songs, miku unleashed her surprise. She activated her soul gem and changed into her magical girl outfit of a shiny teal dress with a frilly skirt and heart emblems large red hair ribbons and ribbon laced shoes.in a dazzling glimmer. Most people including her staff assumed it was part of a special effect quick outfit change

[Rin, on the other hand, blinked as she saw Miku's costume change, feeling suddenly dizzy.]

...Oh, Miku...

[She whispered, biting her lip.]

- Do you have any idea what you've actually done!?

[And then she grabbed Len's arm, blinking even more.]

[...No, wait...What the heck was that, anyway? Miku's costume change had been pretty darn nifty, but...]

Len brok his gaze away form Miku and looked over at his sister in concern "Rin'? Something wrong?"
She shook her head "Sorry I just, got a little dizzy for a moment, I think...
"Do you want to head inside and sit down?"

[Rin grabbed Len's arm again, and then they both walked away from the concert. The nearby park benches were all taken by the cheering fans, so they walked about 5 minutes until they reached a fountain in a secluded area.]

[Rin, in the meanwhile, was rubbing her eyes as she walked. She sat down on the fountain's edge with a groan of relief, and covered her eyes with her handkerchief.]

[...So what was that white round thing that kept sliding in and out of her line of vision, anyway? It looked like some kind of walking stuffed animal, or something!]

[She gave a sigh] "This concert is taking longer then I thought. Do you think she even remembered about our birthdays? Or is she too busy for us now tha she's getting famous. She hasn't even introduced yet to her producers like she promised@"
"Don't say that! Even if she's getting famous, we're all best friends. she wouldn't leave us. She's just, got a lot on her mind... this is her dream after ll. but yeah, why did a concert have to be tonight, on our birthday... But anyway. I have an idea.how about I give you your gift now??"
"Oh? ok, sure! I'll give you mine too!" They pulled out small gift boxes from their pockets "Uou open first"
"No, you do."
"Hm, how about we open together?"
"Ok! One, two," They opened eacothers gifts, which both turned out to be the same gold necklaces, the one for rin had a treble clef on it, and Len's had a basss cleff. Incidentally, they had gottren them from the same antique store.

[Rin started to laugh as she realized that they must have brought their presents at the very same antique store.]

...Thank you so much, Len - I'd really wanted to buy that one, too, but I'd maxed out my allowance and then some!

"I felt the same about yours" She did the same , putting the necklace around his neck "Like, you were meant to have it."
Indeed, this did feel nostalguc. A faint glimse of memory of this same exchange, outisde a ball room, she in an orgnate dress and tiara... She suddenly hugged him tightly

[And that was when the white something flickered through her line of vision again.]

...Ouch...

[She groaned, as she felt a sudden headache coming on.]

...What is this, anyway?

[And then, she slumped over Len, groaning. Len grabbed her in alarm as she crumpled.]

- Rin! What's...What's wrong!?

[And then, he turned toward where she'd been looking at, and froze.]

...Why is a red eyed stuffed animal watching both of us?

[He whispered, eventually - And then, almost fell off the bench when the strange critter that looked like a white stuffed animal blinked it's eyes at him, slowly.]

...So you're not even a girl, and you can see me anyway.

[The thing said, eventually.]

- Curious indeed.

[Ln stiffened, holding Rin close to m protctively] .. what ar you. What do you wnat with us. [Sur th thing was fairly cute and and fluffy , but there was something awfully eerie and not right about this creature...]

[The Kyubey shrugged, then.]

I'm called Kyubey, and as for what I am...

[And then he snickered.]

- That is a secret, ha ha ha!

[And then Kyubey's pick tipped ears twitched, and he turned around. Oh, what a bother...And just when something interesting seemed to have turned up, too!]

[If he hadn't gotten it wrong, and he was pretty sure he hadn't - A Witch was heading right toward the concert, with a Puella Magi in hot pursuit!]

[Rin rcovered a bit and stared at the kyuuby] "you.. I know you.. we've met befor"
"Indeed, we have. About 200 earth yars ago. And now here you are, reunited with your brother, as wished."
"What ar eyou tlaking about? 200 yars? And Len and I hav always been together!"
"So your memoris have not rturned yet. I'm sure they will soon, but no matter. It is time for th nxt stp."

[And in the meanwhile, still on stage...]

[Miku was biting her lip.]

[Uh, oh - Yes, that was a Witch heading their way, all right, and there was also a Puella Magi's energy signature, heading right after it!]

[This had to be dealt with, and dealt with now. She took a deep breath, and waved her hand while her manager goggled at her.]

- Everybody, thank you, thank you! And now, I'm afraid we'll have to have a short recess - See you in fifteen minutes!

[Her fans blinked, muttering among themselves.]

...Hey, this isn't part of the program, right? Our break was supposed to be two songs later!

- What the heck is going on, here?

"Miku, what's going on?" The amangaer asked"
"I'm sorry, I guest received a text form my friends, an emergency cam up! Go on with the intermission, I'll be back soon!" she waved and skipped off, heading deep into the park following the trail.
She picked up the trial of anothr magical girl, and soon spotted hr, a girl about her age with long leaf green hair with roses and butterfly clips, and wearing a flowing cream and green dress with more flower and butterfly themes

[And in the meanwhile, the manager had been wringing his hands.]

...Oh, no! Why does Miku-chan keep doing this!?

It's not like she's just a wannabe singer anymore - She has fans coming over from all over Japan, now, and they're begining to trickle in from overseas, too!

But she just keeps disappearing at odd times, over and over, all the time...

[And he walked away from the concert, wondering if there was any way he could find Miku, and convince her to come back and sing on schedule again.]

[And that is when he caught sight of the Kagamine twins, and blinked. Hey, he knew those people - They were Miku's friends, right?]

[And that is when a brainstorm hit him.]

...Hey, the two of you!

[He called out, and started to walk toward them.]

- You're the Kagamine Twins, right? The thing is, we're in a bit of a pickle right now, and I'll appreciate it a lot if you could help us out!

[Len stared at him, and then back at where the white red eyed thing had been. It was gone, like it had never been there in the first place.]

...Mr Yoshimoto? But...Um, aren't you supposed to stay around where Miku-chan's concert is?

[And then, Mr Yoshimoto the manager sighed, and leaned closer to them, whispering.]

- Oh, you see, Miku-chan seems to have decided to take one of her breaks again, and I really had no idea what to do, but then, I had an idea!

[And then he smiled at them.]

...If she doesn't come back in about 10 minutes or so, we're going to have people from the audience come up too, and sing either Miku's songs covers or their own original songs, I don't care which, actually, as long as they're good singers.
